Returns, Refunds & Germination Promise

Statutory Rights Come First

The policy below sits on top of the law, never in place of it. In New Zealand the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986 give you remedies where goods are faulty, differ from how they were described, or fall short of a statutory guarantee. Those remedies stand whatever this page says, and nothing here is intended to narrow them.

If a Seed Does Not Come Up

Follow the method in our germination guide and a seed that still refuses to open gets replaced, at no charge. Three steps:

  1. Write to support@royalkingseeds.co.nz β€” or reach us on WhatsApp at +1-844-766-8320 β€” inside 30 days of the parcel arriving.
  2. Give us the order number and a photograph or two of the attempt. The paper-towel method photographs best, because we can see the seed and the moisture at the same time.
  3. We read the claim, and where it holds up we post out the same strain in the same pack size. There is no charge and no postage to pay.

Sending Back Something Unopened

A seed is living material, so once a pack has been opened we cannot take it back. An untouched pack, seal intact, is a different matter: send it back inside 14 days of delivery and you get the full amount returned. Ask support for a return authorisation first β€” an unannounced parcel is difficult for us to match to an order.

Damage in Transit, or Something Missing

Tell us within 7 days if the parcel turns up crushed, opened, or lighter than it should be. Photographs of the packaging and of what was inside help. Replacements go out at our cost; we do not ask you to return a damaged parcel first.

Who Pays to Send It Back

Changed your mind about a sealed pack? The return postage is yours. Did we get it wrong β€” wrong strain in the bag, packaging that was not up to the job β€” then it is ours, and we will either send a prepaid label or arrange the pickup.

How Long a Refund Takes

Returned goods are inspected on arrival and the refund is issued within 5 working days after that, back to whatever you originally paid with. Where the original payment came through in cryptocurrency, the refund is calculated on the New Zealand dollar value at the time of the transaction rather than at today’s exchange rate.
