Will Watermelon finish outdoors in New Zealand? In most of the country, yes. The outdoor window runs October to April, and a photoperiod finishes as the autumn light shortens, so the question is whether your first frost arrives before it does. Indica structure copes better with a short season, so the honest answer depends on where you are. The regional notes below are the short version.

Reading the Effects Honestly
Effect descriptions are the least reliable part of any seed listing, this one included. What is defensible: this is a 80/20 indica at 17% THC, commonly described as happy, relaxed, sleepy, with myrcene leading the terpene profile.
What is not defensible is any promise about how it will feel for you. Dose, tolerance, setting and the phenotype you happen to pop all move the outcome more than the strain name does.

The Terpenes
Myrcene leads, humulene sits behind it, and linalool runs underneath.
Aroma is not fixed at harvest β it develops. Fresh flower leads hard with myrcene; three or four weeks in sealed glass at a stable 16 to 18 degrees lets humulene and linalool come forward as the sharper volatiles clear. Jars opened at week one and week five smell like different plants.
Who It Suits
Watermelon is rated easy. That makes it a reasonable first grow β it survives inconsistent watering and imprecise feeding without collapsing, which is what a first season mostly consists of. Being a photoperiod means you decide when it flowers, and therefore how big it gets.
