American Strain Mixpack Feminised

Days 1 to 14. American Strain Mixpack cracks on damp paper towel inside about two days and is through the medium by day three, given warmth and patience rather than intervention. Seedlings want humidity near 70% and no nutrients at all — the seed carries everything for the first week. By the end of the fortnight you are looking for even node spacing rather than height; a stretched seedling is a light problem, not a vigour signal. New to this? This is three different cultivars in one pack, not three packs of the same seed. They divide evenly by pack size: a 3-seed pack is one of each, a 6-seed pack is two of each, a 15-seed pack is five of each. Each is its own plant with its own habit, which is worth knowing before you plan a tent around them.

• Blue Dream — a Californian hybrid: sweet berry, a loose-limbed body and a mild head lift behind it. The autoflowering version takes the timing decisions away from you.
• Green Crack — tangy citrus fruit and a sharp mental edge. Daytime, unambiguously — this is not one to reach for late.
• Alaskan Thunder Fuck — out of Alaska's Matanuska Valley. Pine on the nose, heavy resin on the trichomes, and euphoria that arrives with some force.

Because they are three distinct plants, they will not finish together. Give the tallest of them the headroom and expect to harvest in stages rather than all at once. In a New Zealand outdoor season that is an advantage: staggered ripening spreads the risk across the damp weeks of March and April instead of putting every plant at the mercy of one bad fortnight.

Weeks 3 to 6. Growth stops being tentative. This is when training earns its keep: bend rather than cut if you are unsure, because a bent branch recovers in a day and a topped one costs a week. Expect fairly even growth in both directions.

The transition. After the flip the plant may double. Whatever shape the canopy is at that point is roughly the shape you harvest.

Mid-flower. Bud sites fill and the aroma arrives — usually the point where extraction stops being optional. Feed heavier now, but watch the leaf rather than the schedule.

The last fortnight. Ease off nitrogen, drop the night temperature a little, and stop feeding before you think you should. Final height for this cultivar is published at 80–120 cm.

Harvest. Published window: 8–10 weeks. Trichomes decide. Cut in sections if ripening is uneven — most plants ripen top-down and there is no prize for taking it all at once.

Effect descriptions are the least reliable part of any seed listing, this one included. What is defensible: this is a 35/65 hybrid at 21% THC, commonly described as relaxed, happy, euphoric, with caryophyllene leading the terpene profile.

What is not defensible is any promise about how it will feel for you. Dose, tolerance, setting and the phenotype you happen to pop all move the outcome more than the strain name does.

Growing a few and selecting the keeper is the only way to know. That is what a pack of feminised seeds is for.

Caryophyllene leads, myrcene sits behind it, and humulene runs underneath.

This trio is a common signature in well-regarded cultivars, which is not an accident: caryophyllene carries weight, myrcene adds definition, humulene keeps it from being one-note. It reads clearly on a first opening rather than needing to be hunted for.

American Strain Mixpack is rated intermediate. That sits in the middle — you want a working understanding of pH and feeding, but nothing exotic. Being a photoperiod means you decide when it flowers, and therefore how big it gets.
